This is a list of what not to do. We want The Date List to be a fun place and not filled with objectionable hate mongering or slander towards other people. Nor is the website your personal advertising board.

-Do NOT post your email address or instant messenger name.
-Do NOT use hyperlinks or typed out URLs.
-Do NOT post personal contact information for yourself nor ANYONE else.
-Do NOT post a photo you do not own the copyright to.
-Do NOT post your ad over and over and over - that is considered spam too.
-Do NOT post anything that is pornographic or depicts a human being engaged in actual sexual conduct.
-Do NOT solicite illegal activity either implicitly or explicitly.
-Do NOT post anything that impersonates any person or entity.
-Do NOT post anything that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, libelous, invasive of another’s privacy, or is harmful to minors in any way.
-Do NOT use racist or hateful language. There is just no place for it here.

If for some reason you cannot access the site and you have been posting a lot it is probably a good sign you have been banned. Is this banning permanent or short lived? Well, that depends on what you did to screw things up and whether I am in a good mood or not. You can always contact us to discuss this.

The Date List is set up so that your email is never publically visible. Emails you receive are in response to your ad are stored on The Date List. The only way someone can get your email address is by you giving it to someone. When you post an ad you are emailed a password to check for responses to your ad. If you do not receive this email check your spam folder and make sure the email from us did not end up there.

I am sure at some point spam will become a problem. By spam I mean fake posts or posts that lead you astray. The common variety being posts with links in them (this is a no-no) or posts you answer and get a solicitation in return to your reply vie email auto-responder. I will handle these spam complaints and ban first spammers emails, then their IP if it becomes persistant. I want The Date List to be a good experience for everyone that is FREE!

We will accept advertisers but these will be paid spots and not fake posts.
