Four new categories added to the date list: MW4M, MW4W, M4MW and F4MW.
Plus a lot of other updates that are directed at search engine compatibility to increase the number of ads on the site.

We are in the works of adding new and helpful features to The Date List and will also implement them on the Gay Date List. Dates have been added to the titles of all posts. We have also added a linking structure that basically shows you where you have been on the site so on the page you are on their is a link to the pages you came from. Here is an example:

The Date List ~ Albany, NY ~ Women Seeking Men ~ (the add you are looking at)

This will be listed right above the categories.

We also are working on adding RSS feeds to every city page so you can pull in the latest ads automatically without even having to visit the site as well as redesigning the home page and a bunch of other minor changes to enhance and ease your use of the site.

If there is anything you would like to see that is not there please let me know.

We are working on the fixes for IE7 and in the meantime some things may be screwed up in other browsers as well but we will have this all sorted out shortly. Thanks.

If you are using the new beta 3 version of Internet Explorer (IE7) you may see some issues with compatiblity with our site. We are aware of these and in the process of fixing them. They occur when viewing a post and on the tell-a-friend page. Fortunatley, not many people have IE7 yet as it is still in beta but the latest version available appears to be the final copy of IE7. If you are using IE7 and spot some other issues please contact us and make us aware of them. Thanks.

We are looking for feedback on this possible update which we think will enhance our sites. We are entertaining the idea of combining the ad database for The Date List and the Gay Date List. This would mean that if you posted a m4m or w4w ad on The Date List it would also appear on the Gay Date List automatically and vice versa. Your ad would have the same password on both sites thus gaining your ad more exposure and more responses. We think this is a good idea and wondered what you were thinking so please express your thoughts.

We are currently planning the following updates to both The Date List and the Gay Date List:

1. Adding dates to posts.

2. Adding a comment to the replies page so that when there are no replies it lets you know there are none instead of displaying a blank page.

3. Fix the apostrophe bug in titles.

4. Fix the double spacing bug in post bodies.

When you answer a post on The Date List or Gay Date List it asks for your email. This is sent along with your reply to the poster so they can reply to your response directly. It is a good idea to set up an annonymous email through Yahoo or another free email service to reply to ads.

We have some changes in the works to improve the site and make it easier for you to use. If there are any changes you would like to make we’d love to hear from you. These are the changes currently in the works:

- all cities will be listed on the home page.

- when posting a review page will be added so you can correct any mistakes.

- specific location will be added to the body of the post.

- picture upload wil be added to post response.

- a search box will be added to all city pages.

- tell-a-friend will be added.

We are in the process of adding some new features over the next two weeks:

Flash Video Chat will be added. We are currently working with the leading provider of web based flash chat to add this feature to our site. You will be able to enter the chat room and either just chat or turn on your cam and video chat with the room or individual people.

We will be adding a photo upload link to the post an ad page so you may ad 1 photo per ad. Please note that nude, vulgar, obscene, etc. photos are not permitted and will result in deletion of your ad.

We have already changed the color of each ad category so it is easier to spot the ads you are looking for.

An age field will be added to the post an ad page.

A password retrieval link will be added so that if you have lost the password to access your ad you can recover it.

Please also note that the TOS and Privacy Statement have been updated.

This is a list of what not to do. We want The Date List to be a fun place and not filled with objectionable hate mongering or slander towards other people. Nor is the website your personal advertising board.

-Do NOT post your email address or instant messenger name.
-Do NOT use hyperlinks or typed out URLs.
-Do NOT post personal contact information for yourself nor ANYONE else.
-Do NOT post a photo you do not own the copyright to.
-Do NOT post your ad over and over and over - that is considered spam too.
-Do NOT post anything that is pornographic or depicts a human being engaged in actual sexual conduct.
-Do NOT solicite illegal activity either implicitly or explicitly.
-Do NOT post anything that impersonates any person or entity.
-Do NOT post anything that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, libelous, invasive of another’s privacy, or is harmful to minors in any way.
-Do NOT use racist or hateful language. There is just no place for it here.

If for some reason you cannot access the site and you have been posting a lot it is probably a good sign you have been banned. Is this banning permanent or short lived? Well, that depends on what you did to screw things up and whether I am in a good mood or not. You can always contact us to discuss this.
